We were paired with Captain Kevin and First Mate Steve for our trip (Captain Bob is the owner and main contact). As inexperienced anglers who had never trolled on the lake before, we were in great hands. Kevin’s expertise was evident—he quickly set up our rods and knew exactly when the fish were biting. His passion for fishing really shows. During our half-day trip, we caught seven fish (2 Coho, 1 King, 4 trout). Kevin and Steve made it easy to relax and enjoy the day, going the extra mile to find as many fish as possible. I would highly recommend this charter for both novice and experienced anglers.

Captain Bob and Kevin were fantastic! The boat accommodated our group of six perfectly. The crew was knowledgeable and committed to taking us to the best fishing spots. We caught an excellent mix of Kings, big lake trout, Coho, and Steelhead. Highly recommended!

Captain Kevin and First Mate Steve were fantastic with the kids, and everyone got to reel in a few fish. Captain and crew were fantastic—knowledgeable, helpful, and made the trip enjoyable from start to finish. I took five of my kids out for a 6-hour trip, and we caught over 100 pounds of fish! We learned a lot and had a great time together. Highly recommend this experience.

The crew on Maykin Baykin was outstanding and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable! Captain Bob suggested we head out an hour early to catch the strong morning bite—and it paid off big time. We ended the day with 15 fish in the boat. With so many charters in South Haven, we chose one of the most experienced and highest-rated, and we couldn’t be happier. Captain Kevin and First Mate Steve were friendly, professional, and made our whole group feel right at home. Highly recommend booking with these guys—they truly know what they’re doing!

🎣 Five Stars for Effort and Hospitality We spent the day fishing with Maykin Baykin Charters out of South Haven, Michigan, guided by Captain Bob and First Mate Kevin. The bite was tough—just one small coho salmon—but that didn’t stop the crew from giving it everything they had. Bob and Kevin worked hard the entire trip, switching tactics, moving spots, and keeping a great attitude throughout. Their dedication and professionalism turned a slow day of fishing into a genuinely enjoyable experience.
